My mom Kathy Durlin worked there for several years.

I don't see anything 'creepy'. Clean and orderly, giving the best care available. The long room was probably more efficient.

How will clean and well maintained wards haunt my dreams? For a good scare, show comparative photos.

I fail to see how these photos are 'creepy'. Also, the things that haunt my dreams can not be photographed. These are just old photos. Who writes this stuff???

The lights never seemed to be all the way on when I was a kid...we went there when a friend of my parents got shot, and when my Grandpa had a heart attack...probably early 60's.

I don't see what is so creepy. That was some of the best care of the time.

Not creepy historical. There are 2 children in picture #5 the nurse on the right is holding an infant and a toddler (out of focus) appears to be sitting next to the mans bed on the left. Just wondering if they are visiting and the men aren't critical or the nurses were aloud to bring their children with them?

Whoever thinks they are creepy have no concept of history. These are typical wards at hospitals of the time.

I was born there and they lost my birth information..

What's creepy is the speer memorial hospital on the DHMC campus, I think it was the children's ward at one point but when I worked in there back in 2003, the 2nd floor was the old jail ward, but had been deserted. Still had cells, gurney s, wheelchairs, etc. in there. It was closed but I'd go poke around sometimes because it was creepy and cool. And the basement was an old lab - - super creepy and cool.

Victoria Doherty this is the hospital that you were born in. Much later of course.

I was born there in 1954. I was there with a friend who had to have stitches around 1965. I remember waiting in a room with disturbing midieval paintings of people screaming while being operated on. Now that's creepy!

This is not creepy, this is History. It is the way most hospitals looked back in 1907.

Nothing creepy there just a hospital of the time. Denver Health is now an internationally known model for trauma care & the care is excellent! They brought my son back from the dead literally to full recovery a few years ago when he was critically injured in some random street violence in Lodo years ago... nuff said

I was in an er room and it looked like a crime scene blood all over the walls and filthy sheets. No wonder I'm sick. Circa 1983

It does look kinda creepy.....like the hospitals in old horror films where they did strange experiments on people.

yup ... kinda creepy. DGH has notorious branding as ; Don't Go Here. Bad treatment to a lot of folks in the past... but they are making strides to improve a little. My mother was treated there (again) the last couple of years .... & it was acceptable.

I doesn't look creepy at all to me to me but what is scary is all the clothes the women had to wear back then. Now that's scary.
