While St. Patrick’s day falls on a Friday this year, we get to celebrate the green all week long, beginning this Saturday, with the St Patrick’s Day Parade.  The parade steps off from Wynkoop, right between Coors Field and Union Station at 9:30AM.  The parade travels towards Union station, takes a left at 17th, then a left at Blake, where the parade continues until 27th St.

The weather is looking a bit chilly.  Friday night it should get down to about 39.  Saturday will get into the 60’s, but I’d expect the parade to be in the 40’s for step off.  Dress accordingly.  If you want to enjoy the parade, but don’t want to get up and get dressed, the parade will be streamed on the Denver St. Patrick’s Day Parade Facebook Page.  Streets will be closed beginning at 9AM, and will remain closed until the parade and cleanup is completed, The Parade should last roughly 4 hours.  Parking could be tricky.  There will be about 350,000 people at the parade his year, and the Coors Filed Parking Structure at 27th and Blake will open at 7AM, and close at 9AM.  There is also lots of parking at The Pavillions, and you can take the Mall shuttle to the Parade.  As far as alcohol goes, you will need to abide by any local laws downtown.  Tailgating and BBQing will need to be kept on the DL.  The parade route is a Drone Free Zone, so leave the Drone at home.
