A new law went into effect on January 1, and now you can’t avoid paying the taxes and fees you owe. Some people wait it out until they get caught, and only pay the penalty and current taxes. Now you’re on the hook for all the back taxes and some late fees too. Cops will also be on the lookout for expired temp tags and tags as well.
