A 400-pound pig named Fred caused chaos in Aurora, Colorado for several days before he was finally captured by animal control officers and police officers.

“It took a look a lot of puzzle pieces getting put together before we could finally solve the problem,” said Augusta Allen, field supervisor for Aurora Animal Services to KDVR.

Fred’s crime spree began on September 24, when he was first spotted running loose in the streets. He caused traffic disturbances, damaged property, and even broke into a few homes. He was able to evade capture for several days, but was eventually trapped in a backyard on September 27.

“I hope he gets to a place that’s a good home where he can stretch his legs,” said Allen. “He’s very sweet, very loving, loves the attention.”

Fred is currently being held at the Aurora Animal Shelter and is available for adoption.
