With over 2,600 migrants currently residing in Denver, the city is seeking bilingual Spanish speakers to join the effort to support their well-being and integration into the community.

“Wherever I travel around the city, people always ask, ‘Hey, what are we doing with the migrants?’” Denver Mayor Mike Johnston said in a press conference Tuesday. “‘What are we doing to make sure they have the resources they need? How can I help?’ This is our moment for Denver to help.”

Job Fair Details:

Date: Friday, December 8, 2023
Location: Wellington Webb Municipal Building, 201 W. Colfax Ave.
Time: Two sessions: 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM and 1:00 PM – 5:00 PM
Positions Available: 150
Pay: $25 – $32 per hour

Job Responsibilities:

  • Greet and assist migrants upon arrival at shelters
  • Help migrants check in and connect with housing resources
  • Serve meals and distribute supplies
  • Explain shelter rules and provide guidance
  • Assist with sanitization and hygiene maintenance
  • Facilitate integration into the Denver community

Job Type:

Short-term, on-call Hours: 24-39 hours per week

Required Documents:

  • Original I-9 documents
  • Seven years of address history (for background checks)
  • Emergency contact information
  • Form W4 elections
  • Direct deposit information.
