“Thank you, ‘cause you did something for me that was so small for you, and it changed a lot. It made an impact on everyone,” Ramirez said.

‘Tis the season to be giving, and for one Waffle House waitress, her holiday season got off to a great start.

According to FOX31, Justin Simmons of the Denver Broncos enjoyed a night out with friends, ending up at a Waffle House in Parker.

“I was like, there was so many of them. I’m like, all right. I was just ready to go to work,” Samantha Ramirez, a mother of five, told the outlet.

After the meal, Ramirez says that Simmons wanted to tip her, but she kindly refused as “they’ve done enough already.” However, Simmons wasn’t taking no for an answer and left her a nice $1,000 tip.

“You don’t have any idea how emotional — I mean, you don’t even know. We needed that, so thank you so much,” Ramirez said.

According to Waffle House regulations, there’s a process for receiving tip money. According to Ramirez, Waffle House holds their tip money “for months.”

Once she told Fox31 about the process, the Problem Solvers team acted quickly to contact Waffle House headquarters in Atlanta – according to the outlet, “a representative flew to Denver and personally reassured her that she would immediately receive the full amount of the tip.”
