School districts announce closures during October snowstorm

School districts around Denver have been making announcements regarding school closures and delays during the snowstorm that hit Colorado early Tuesday morning.

Denver Public Schools
The district will be doing a staggered release of the different schools, according to a release Tuesday. Middle schools and high schools will be released at noon. Elementary schools, including K-8 schools, will be released at 2 p.m.

Denver Public Schools will be doing a staggered early release today, Tuesday, Oct. 29, due to weather and travel conditions.

Middle schools and high schools will be released at noon.

Students will be kept inside and taken care of until picked up – please drive safely. If you have an extraordinary circumstance that prohibits you from collecting your student at dismissal, please contact the school.

Additionally, please be advised that all after-school athletics and activities – including afternoon BASE, PEAK and PM preschool – for today, Tuesday, October 29 have been canceled due to weather.
