This year’s Top Taco was nothing short of legendary. With some of the most mouthwatering tacos in the world and expertly crafted cocktails, the event once again solidified its reputation as a must-attend experience, and this year was no exception.
Held for the second year at Westminster City Park, Top Taco 2024 was a sensory extravaganza. The event featured everything from entertaining local wrestlers to two live music stages that kept the energy buzzing. And who could forget the yoga goats? Yes, you read that right—yoga goats, along with a live DJ that had the crowd dancing between taco bites. The sheer number of tacos available was enough to satisfy even the most voracious Denver foodies.
The day began with a cool, cloudy sky, and for a moment, it seemed like rain might dampen the festivities. But the Taco Gods smiled down, keeping the rain at bay and offering what felt like an air-conditioned Top Taco experience—perfect weather for devouring endless tacos.
The true stars of the day, of course, were the incredibly talented chefs and mixologists. The competition was fierce, with every taco making a case for your vote. From the culinary delights of Los Chingones, My Neighbor Felix, Los Dos Potrillos, Gringos Tacos, and Heavenly Tacos, to the refreshing drinks at Blanco and many more, the selection was mind-blowing. The event featured big-name alcohol brands like Patron and Modelo, but local liquor artisans were also well-represented, adding a unique flavor to the mix.
Jeff Suskin, the mastermind behind Top Taco, continues to outdo himself. Just as with his other hit events like Rare and the highly anticipated Chicken Fight, Top Taco is gaining fame far beyond Colorado. This year, many attendees traveled from all over the country just to be part of the fun. The event has become so popular that Jeff has even taken it on the road, replicating the experience in Houston, Texas.
