2024 BMW Championship at Castle Pines: Honoring the Military and Showcasing Golf’s Best

The 2024 BMW Championship at Castle Pines Golf Club isn’t just about world-class golf—it’s also a celebration of Colorado’s strong military ties and a tribute to the men and women who serve our country. From August 20-25, this premier tournament will feature special events honoring active-duty military, veterans, and retirees, making it a week to remember for both golf enthusiasts and patriots alike.

Honoring the Military Community

The tournament’s commitment to honoring the military community is evident in its special ticket offer and unique experiences throughout the week. All active-duty military, retirees, active reserves, and veterans of any branch of service will receive complimentary admission to the event, thanks to proud partners Aggreko and PXG. The week-long celebration will kick off with an opening ceremony on Thursday, August 22, at 8 a.m. MT, featuring a powerful national anthem performance by singer and songwriter Amanda Hawkins and a thrilling flyover by four F-16 fighter jets from the Colorado Air National Guard. TICKETS

“Our commitment to honoring and supporting the brave men and women who serve our country is a cornerstone of the BMW Championship,” said Vince Pellegrino, WGA Senior Vice President of Tournaments. “We are deeply grateful for the sacrifices of our military and are proud to honor those who serve and protect through these special experiences.”

Spectators with military tickets for the practice rounds on Tuesday and Wednesday will have exclusive access to the Nicklaus Club, a climate-controlled lounge with a PXG golf simulator, complimentary food and drinks, and seating overlooking the iconic par-3 16th hole. This special access is just one of the many ways the tournament is showing its appreciation for the military community.

Epic Gameplay and World-Class Golfers

In addition to honoring the military, the BMW Championship promises thrilling gameplay as some of the world’s top golfers compete in the PGA TOUR FedExCup Playoffs. With the stunning backdrop of Castle Pines, spectators can expect intense competition as players battle it out on one of the most challenging courses in the country. TICKETS From the professional practice rounds starting on August 20 to the high-stakes final round on August 25, the tournament will showcase the very best in golf.

Traffic and Transportation Impacts

With thousands of visitors expected to attend, the city of Castle Pines will experience increased traffic, particularly with the closure of Happy Canyon Road between Lagae Road and Santa Fe Drive (US-85) from 5 a.m. to 7 p.m. throughout the tournament week. Only vehicles with the proper credentials will be allowed access during these times, so residents and visitors should plan accordingly.

A Week of Celebration and Remembrance

The 2024 BMW Championship at Castle Pines is more than just a golf tournament; it’s a celebration of excellence, both on the golf course and in the community. With its special focus on honoring the military, the tournament offers a unique opportunity to witness world-class golf while paying tribute to those who have served our country. Whether you’re a golf fan, a member of the military, or simply looking for an unforgettable experience, this event is set to be one of the highlights of the year. Don’t miss your chance to be part of this extraordinary week at Castle Pines Golf Club.
