Video Captures Customer Outburst at Panera Bread in Glendale

GLENDALE, Colo. — Police are searching for a suspect following a chaotic incident at a Panera Bread near Cherry Creek Parkway in Glendale, where customers and staff were assaulted. The suspect, identified as Isaac Ross, who also goes by “Kendall Ross,” caused a scene by screaming and knocking items off the counter.

Witness Natalie Wiersma, who captured the incident on video, said it appeared Ross was demanding his phone from the employees.

“The suspect was yelling at the workers, and they all looked confused, saying, ‘We don’t have your phone,’” Wiersma explained.

Things escalated when Ross threw a smoothie at employees, prompting nearby customers to intervene and try to calm him down. Ross responded by yelling a racial slur at one customer before continuing to cause a disturbance.

Ross proceeded to knock everything off the counter, and as tensions rose, one brave customer stepped in to stop him. “The next guy actually saved that man from further attack and did his best to hold Ross down,” Wiersma said.

At one point, an employee emerged from behind the counter and struck Ross over the head with a pan in an attempt to subdue him. “That was my personal hero,” Wiersma added. “It seemed very effective.”

Despite the intervention, Ross managed to flee the scene before police arrived. However, Glendale Police reported that Ross returned to the Panera Bread shortly afterward and continued to cause a disturbance. During this second altercation, Ross assaulted an at-risk male, leaving him with minor injuries.

Glendale Police are actively searching for Ross and are urging anyone with information on his whereabouts to contact the Glendale Police Department at (303) 759-1511.
