Colorado Urgently Needs Construction Workers – And The State Will Pay for Your Training!

Colorado is facing a critical shortage of skilled construction workers, and the state is stepping up to address the problem by offering free training to jumpstart careers in the booming trades industry. Whether you’re looking for a fresh start, a more stable future, or the opportunity to earn big, now is the perfect time to apply for these new construction jobs—and best of all, you can get trained for free.

Take the example of 21-year-old Jesus Villegas Puga. He’s in his second year of training in advanced construction technology, gaining the essential skills needed to thrive in the field.

“Learning how to cut, measure, flush, and nail—all these necessary skills ensure that you’re building a safe and solid structure,” Villegas Puga explained.

He’s not alone. At Pickens Technical College, 34 other students are also diving into hands-on training, building a foundation for their futures. And thanks to the state-funded Career Advance Colorado program, these students aren’t paying a dime for their first year of training.

“We’ve seen an urgent shortage of construction workers across Colorado, especially in homebuilding,” said Andrew Vidockler, Assistant Director at Pickens Technical College. “This shortage exists because schools haven’t prioritized teaching these trades, but now, through this unique state program, we’re changing that.”

The program isn’t just filling a gap—it’s creating life-changing opportunities. For students like Villegas Puga, this is more than just a free education. It’s a pathway to success and security. As the proud father of a 6-week-old son, Jesus Junior, Villegas Puga is determined to build a better future for his family.

“I’m really grateful for this opportunity,” he shared. “Growing up in an immigrant family, I worked alongside my dad, who worked hard to provide. This program gives me the chance to grow and create a better life for my son.”

And the future is bright. With salary potential reaching up to a quarter of a million dollars, a career in construction offers financial freedom without the burden of student debt.

As the demand for new housing and infrastructure surges across Colorado, this free training program is your ticket to a stable, well-paying career. The state has recognized the urgent need for skilled workers and is ready to invest in your success. Whether you’re just starting out or looking for a new path, now is the time to seize this incredible opportunity.

The sound of a buzzing saw isn’t just noise—it’s the sound of your future taking shape. Apply now, and start building a rewarding career in construction today!
