Vail police say they know who kicked over and destroyed an ice sculpture in Vail Village.

The Vail Police Department went to the media and other public sources to ask for help in identifying three suspects who damaged a Winterfest ice sculpture along Vail’s Gore Creek Promenade in Vail Village.

“We have identified a suspect and are searching for the whereabouts of that suspect so we can charge appropriately,” Vail Police Det. Sgt. Justin Liffick said.

A surveillance video of the incident shows the three females in the area for several minutes, around 10:13 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 2. Eventually, one of the three females kicked at the sculpture at least three times, knocked it over and breaking it.
