A Westminster man, Jonny George, is fighting for his life after a brutal assault left him unconscious along 120th Avenue on Sunday night. Jonny had been running a quick errand to a nearby gas station after celebrating his 5th wedding anniversary with his wife, Erika Halte. When he didn’t return home, Erika began to worry, and her fears were confirmed when she received a call from Saint Anthony’s Hospital the next morning.

Jonny had been found unresponsive after being attacked from behind, suffering severe brain bleeding. He was transported to the hospital, where he remains in critical condition. The Westminster Police Department reported that Jonny had previously called for help when a group began harassing him but declined police assistance, believing he was close to home. Hours later, he was found unconscious, and the case is now under investigation with no suspects identified.

Erika is desperate for answers and is hoping witnesses will come forward. As Jonny is the sole provider for his family and has no insurance, the medical bills are piling up. A fundraiser has been set up to help cover expenses, and Erika is left heartbroken as she balances caring for their young son while staying by Jonny’s side at the hospital.

Anyone with information is encouraged to contact Westminster police.
