From gambling and excessive drinking to issues like addiction and unhealthy habits, some places seem to harbor more sins than others. According to a recent WalletHub study, three Colorado cities made the list of the “Most Sinful Cities in America,” with Denver ranking surprisingly high.
At No. 6 overall, Denver stands out not only as Colorado’s most sinful city but as one of the most vice-ridden cities in the country. Denver scored particularly high in categories like lust, anger & hatred, and jealousy. Aurora came in at No. 67, and Colorado Springs ranked at No. 79, showcasing that vice isn’t limited to the Mile High City.

How the Rankings Were Determined:
WalletHub analyzed 182 cities across the U.S., scoring them based on seven major categories: anger & hatred, jealousy, excesses & vices, greed, lust, vanity, and laziness. Each category included metrics like violent crimes per capita, obesity rates, teen birth rates, and the number of casinos or tanning salons. For Denver, its performance in lust and anger-related categories significantly boosted its ranking.
While Las Vegas still reigns as “Sin City,” Denver’s place in the top 10 might leave some Coloradans questioning just how virtuous their city really is.
