Man Charged After Faking Seizure to Distract Employees in Centennial Puppy Theft

A 37-year-old man, Timothy Davis, has been formally charged in connection with the theft of two bulldog puppies from Perfect Pets in Centennial. Authorities say Davis faked a seizure inside the store on Sunday to distract employees, while his accomplices stole the puppies. Surveillance footage captured three men entering the store, asking questions, and then executing the scheme. One suspect grabbed the puppies and ran to a waiting gold Cadillac Escalade, which was reportedly driven by a woman.

Davis has been charged with theft, conspiracy to commit theft, and three drug-related offenses, with his preliminary hearing set for March 25. While Davis has been arrested, police are still searching for two additional male suspects and the suspected getaway driver. One suspect is described as a Black male wearing a large black coat and sweatpants, while the other is believed to be a white or Hispanic male with brown hair, last seen wearing a blue and white beanie-style hat.

Authorities were able to recover one of the stolen puppies after a woman, who had unknowingly purchased it from a street vendor in north Denver for $1,500, returned it to the store. However, the second puppy remains missing. A $4,000 reward is being offered for the puppy’s safe return. Anyone with information is urged to call the Arapahoe County Sheriff’s Office tipline at 720-874-8477, with anonymous tips accepted.
