Westminster Police Seek Suspect Who Burglarized Apartment and Took a Nap

Westminster police are searching for a suspect who was caught on camera breaking into an occupied apartment near 120th Avenue and Federal Boulevard around 1 a.m. on March 11. According to investigators, the intruder quietly moved through the home, helping himself to food from the kitchen before settling in for a brief nap on the couch. After resting, he gathered electronics and a blanket before making his getaway.

The suspect is described as a Hispanic man in his 20s or 30s with dark hair, wearing a white hoodie, pants, white shoes, and a white trucker hat with “Boat Accessory” on the front. Authorities believe he may have been familiar with the area, as he appeared comfortable while inside the home.

Westminster police urge anyone with information to come forward and contact Metro Denver Crime Stoppers. Tipsters can remain anonymous and may be eligible for a cash reward of up to $2,000.
