Suspect Arrested After High-Speed Chase Ends in Crash in Denver
A man wanted on multiple felony warrants is in custody after leading Westminster police on a high-speed chase that ended with a crash in east Denver late Wednesday night. The incident began around 10:15 p.m. at the Comfort Suites near 120th Avenue and Delaware Street, where officers responded to a disturbance involving the suspect.
According to Westminster Police, the man attempted to flee the scene by trying to run over officers with his vehicle and ramming a patrol car. A pursuit ensued, stretching into Denver, where the suspect eventually collided with another vehicle carrying three occupants near the intersection of I-70 and I-225.
Both the suspect and one of the victims sustained non-life-threatening injuries and were transported to a hospital. They have since been released, and the suspect is now in custody. The investigation remains ongoing, with Denver police assisting and westbound I-70 temporarily closed at Chambers Road during the incident.
