Taylor Swift Files Restraining Order Against Adams County Man After Alarming Visits to Her Home

Pop superstar Taylor Swift has filed for a restraining order against a Colorado man she says has repeatedly shown up at her Los Angeles residence and sent her staff hundreds of disturbing communications. In court documents filed in L.A. County, Swift identified the man as Brian Jason Wagner, 45, of Henderson, Colorado, and detailed a troubling pattern of behavior that began in July 2024 and has continued into this year.

According to Swift, Wagner first appeared at her property on July 9, 2024, and returned multiple times that month—at one point allegedly carrying a glass bottle that security feared could be used as a weapon. During those visits, Wagner reportedly claimed he lived at the home, was in a relationship with Swift, and believed she was the mother of his son—statements Swift described as “untrue and disconnected from reality.”

In May 2025, Wagner allegedly reappeared at Swift’s home on consecutive days, claiming he was there to check on a friend. Swift said that her security team discovered Wagner had a criminal record and a history of sending her letters and emails while incarcerated. His behavior escalated this year, Swift claimed, including attempts to reroute her mail, send more than 26 emails in a short span, and fraudulently list her home address on his driver’s license.

Swift, 35, said the fact that her home address is not public and that Wagner was still able to find and repeatedly return to it, “makes me fear for my safety and the safety of my family.” She emphasized that his communications have become more threatening and erratic in recent weeks, heightening her sense of imminent danger.

Court records in Colorado show Wagner pleaded guilty to forgery and theft in 2023 and was given a two-year deferred sentence and jail time served. A longtime member of Swift’s security team confirmed Wagner began attempting contact from jail in 2023 and noted additional red flags, including an alert from the Postal Service regarding Wagner’s alleged attempt to halt Swift’s mail.

The temporary restraining order was granted, and Swift is now seeking to make it permanent, citing her growing concern for her safety amid Wagner’s persistent efforts to access her home and life.
