Lakewood Man Arrested After Disturbing Public Indecency Incidents Near Women and Schools

A man accused of exposing himself to women in a Lakewood neighborhood has been arrested, following months of complaints and community concern. According to Lakewood Police, the suspect—whose name has not yet been released—was taken into custody Wednesday after being seen repeatedly touching himself inappropriately while parked near women in the Green Mountain Subdivision, often with his vehicle’s windows down.

Residents say the man, typically driving a red truck, had been targeting women since at least April. One victim, Marissa, described her frightening experience when she saw the man parked just 25 to 30 feet ahead of her. “It was like a fight or flight reflex—I just kept walking,” she told FOX31. “Then I saw him circling the neighborhood, looking for other people to target.”

Despite identifying a suspect in a mugshot lineup and filing a police report, Marissa said she and other residents were left feeling vulnerable. Posts on neighborhood apps like Ring and Nextdoor revealed that multiple women had witnessed similar incidents, with sightings continuing for months. A major concern among locals was the proximity of the suspect’s behavior to schools in the area, including Devinny Elementary.

“I should be able to walk through my own neighborhood without feeling unsafe,” Marissa said.

Lakewood Police are now reviewing all reports connected to the case and encourage anyone who may have information to come forward. The arrest brings some relief to residents who have spent the summer on high alert.
