Denver Ranks Among the Most Exciting Cities in the U.S.—But Just Misses the Top 10
Denver has once again earned recognition for its vibrant culture, ranking as the 17th most exciting city in the United States, according to a recent study by Finance Buzz. The list, which analyzed factors like nightlife, food scene, outdoor activities, population diversity, and entertainment options, placed Denver firmly in the top 20—but still behind cities like Salt Lake City, Pittsburgh, and Cincinnati.
Scoring 53.6 points overall, the Mile High City was praised for its well-rounded blend of dining, events, and recreation. Another Colorado city, Colorado Springs, landed in the “neither exciting nor boring” category with a score of 23.1. Meanwhile, Fort Collins didn’t make the list at all, leaving fans of The Choice City to wonder what could have been.
At the other end of the spectrum? Jacksonville, Florida, ranked dead last, largely due to a lackluster culinary scene where more than half the restaurants are chains.
So while Denver didn’t crack the top 10, it still proves it’s a go-to spot for excitement—and with the city’s growing food and entertainment scene, don’t be surprised if it climbs higher in years to come.
