A late-night shooting in Aurora on Friday has left one man fighting for his life and police searching for answers. According to the Aurora Police Department, officers responded to reports of gunfire at 11:21 p.m. in the parking lot of an apartment complex at 384 S. Ironton Street. Residents who heard the shots rushed outside and discovered a man suffering from gunshot wounds.
In a moment of quick thinking and compassion, a good Samaritan at the scene transported the victim to a nearby hospital before emergency responders could arrive. As of the latest update, the man remains hospitalized with life-threatening injuries.
Authorities are still trying to determine what led up to the shooting and have not yet identified any suspects.
