The Colorado Renaissance Festival made history this year after completely selling out during its popular Pirate Invasion weekend on July 12–13 — a first in the event’s long-standing tradition. In response to the overwhelming turnout, organizers announced a cap on ticket sales for the remainder of the season to ensure a better experience for guests. The goal is to reduce crowding, shorten lines, and ease traffic congestion in and around the festival village.

Going forward, online ticket sales will be limited daily. However, guests can still purchase tickets at select King Soopers locations and the festival’s box office while supplies last. All previously purchased tickets will still be honored on any remaining festival day.

Festival organizers cited the growing popularity of the event and emphasized their commitment to guest enjoyment and community cooperation. The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office has also reminded festivalgoers to stick to I-25 and avoid cutting through residential neighborhoods.

The final weekend of the Colorado Renaissance Festival is scheduled for August 2–3. Festival-goers are encouraged to plan ahead and grab their tickets early.
