Woman Killed in Hit-and-Run Near I-225 in Aurora, Police Say
Aurora police are investigating a fatal hit-and-run that left a woman dead near the northbound I-225 onramp at Colfax Avenue late Sunday night. Officers responded just before 10 p.m. to reports of an auto-pedestrian crash and found the woman deceased at the scene. The driver did not remain, and there are currently no known witnesses or suspect vehicle details.
Authorities have not yet determined exactly when the collision occurred and are asking anyone with information to contact Metro Denver Crime Stoppers. This marks the second deadly auto-pedestrian incident along I-225 in recent days, raising concerns about safety in the area.
