Denver International Airport Adds Facial Recognition Screening for TSA PreCheck Travelers
Denver International Airport (DIA) has introduced new facial recognition technology at both the East and West Security Checkpoints, allowing eligible travelers to pass through TSA without showing a physical ID. The program, called TSA PreCheck Touchless ID, is a joint effort between DIA and the Transportation Security Administration.
To use the system, travelers must be enrolled in TSA PreCheck, have valid passport information uploaded to their airline profile, and be flying with a participating airline—currently American, Delta, United, or Alaska Airlines. Two dedicated lanes on each side of the airport now scan passengers’ faces to verify identity, streamlining the security process while maintaining safety.
Denver joins several major airports nationwide using this cutting-edge screening option, including Atlanta, LAX, O’Hare, and Seattle-Tacoma.
