Where to Sip in the Shadows: Denver’s Spookiest Halloween Pop-Up Bars

Halloween in Denver isn’t just for trick-or-treaters. Adults who love the thrill of costumes, creepy décor, and spine-tingling cocktails can get their spooky fix at one of the metro area’s Halloween pop-up bars. These limited-time haunts are transforming familiar spaces into eerie escapes—complete with themed drinks, eerie vibes, and just enough fright to keep you coming back before Oct. 31 rolls around.

Here’s where to raise a glass to the season:

🎃 The Haunted Hangar – Longmont

  • Location: 2251 Ken Pratt Blvd., Suite A

  • Dates: Sept. 18 – Nov. 1

  • Hours: Thursdays & Fridays (reservations required)
Longmont’s Winner’s Circle transforms into a haunted aviation escape, complete with chilling cocktail flights “guaranteed to rattle your bones.” Tickets are $7, but each comes with a $5 gaming voucher—perfect for those who want their Halloween with a side of retro arcade fun.

🕸️ Nightmare in Paradise – Broadway

  • Location: 218 S. Broadway

  • Dates: Sept. 30 – Nov. 1

  • Hours: Tues–Thurs 5–11 p.m., Fri–Sat 4 p.m.–midnight
Adrift Tiki Bar trades its beachy vibes for pumpkins, cobwebs, and tiki-meets-terror energy. Expect punchbowls of bubbling brews, themed cocktails like the “Poison Apple” and “Frog’s Breath,” and an atmosphere that’s equal parts tropical and terrifying.

🥂 Poka Luna – Dairy Block

  • Location: 1850 Wazee St.

  • Dates: Oct. 1 – 31

  • Hours: Wed 3 p.m.–close, Thurs 7 p.m.–close, normal hours rest of October
Poka Lola Social Club is serving up more than 17 ghoulishly creative cocktails and mocktails. October also brings artisan spooky markets and hands-on craft workshops—perfect if your idea of Halloween includes a little creativity (and a lot of cocktails).

⚰️ Coffin Club – LoDo

  • Location: 1526 Blake St.

  • Dates: Oct. 1 – 31

  • Hours: Tues–Wed 5 p.m.–midnight, Thurs 5 p.m.–1 a.m., Fri–Sat 5 p.m.–2 a.m., Sun 3 p.m.–midnight
Honor Farm Haunted Spirit House is already Denver’s go-to for the paranormal, but October brings it to the next level with the Coffin Club pop-up. Fully immersive décor, eerie cocktails, and food “possessed” by Samosa Shop create a creepy but cozy night out. Just don’t be the last one to leave…

👾 The Upside Down Bar – LoHi

  • Location: 3330 Mariposa St.

  • Dates: Oct. 2 – Nov. 1

  • Hours: Thurs–Sun evenings (reservations required)
Step into Hawkins, Indiana, without leaving Denver. The Devil’s Drink presents this “Stranger Things”-inspired bar, filled with 80s nostalgia, dim neon lighting, and specialty cocktails that will make you feel like you’ve been sucked straight into the Upside Down.

🦇 Final Sip

From haunted tiki bars to Stranger Things throwbacks, Denver’s Halloween pop-ups prove you’re never too old to celebrate spooky season—especially when there’s a cocktail in hand. Whether you want eerie elegance or pure campy fun, these bars offer the perfect way to toast to October.
