Denver’s New Ballyhoo Table & Stage Combines Coffee, Cocktails, and Cabaret

Denver’s Highlands neighborhood is getting a one-of-a-kind venue that blends coffeehouse comfort, cocktail bar energy, and Broadway flair. Ballyhoo Table & Stage — opening Nov. 1 at 3300 Tejon St. — will serve as a café, restaurant, and performing arts space where bartenders don’t just pour drinks — they sing while doing it.

The concept features a large theater in the back for plays, concerts, and musicals, and a front café stage where singing bartenders will entertain guests throughout the day. Ballyhoo plans to host everything from Broadway-style productions and live music to drag shows, comedy, cabaret, and improv.

The grand opening celebration runs from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Nov. 1 with a ribbon cutting by Denver drag star Jessica L’Whor, along with music from DJ Buddy Bravo, circus acts, face painting, and interactive family fun.

Founder Julia Tobey calls Ballyhoo “a love letter to humanity,” saying it’s designed to bring people together in a time of isolation. “We’re creating a joyful haven where everyone feels seen, heard, and inspired,” Tobey said.

The venue will serve Queen City Collective Coffee and feature a menu of breakfast burritos, pastries, paninis, charcuterie boards, soups, and late-night bites — offering locals a creative, inclusive space that celebrates connection through food, drink, and performance.
