Lakewood Police Increase Patrols After Reports of Man Targeting Women on Local Trails
Police in Lakewood are searching for a man accused of stalking and following women and teenage girls near Bear Creek, prompting growing concern among residents and parents. According to investigators, the suspect has been seen multiple times near 10129 W. Dartmouth Place, Bear Creek High School, and along the Bear Creek Trail — most recently on October 4 and November 4. Authorities say the man appears to target high school-aged girls and mothers walking with baby strollers, following them through residential areas and open spaces before disappearing. The Lakewood Police Department said this behavior is part of an ongoing issue that has led to stepped-up patrols around schools and parks.

Police have released photos of the suspect and are asking for the public’s help identifying him, stressing that community vigilance is key to stopping further incidents. Officers urge residents to report suspicious behavior immediately and to remain alert when walking or jogging in the area. “The safety of our residents is our top priority,” the department said in a statement. Anyone with information about the man’s identity or activities is asked to contact Detective Graham at 303-987-7823 or via email at nicgra@lakewoodco.org as the investigation continues.
