Downtown Denver’s Wildest Happy Hour Involves a Dog Bowl and Zero Shame
Downtown Denver is getting a dog-themed dive bar with a wild twist. Two Lazy Dogs Bar & Grill is preparing to open at 1531 Champa Street, serving up cheap eats, late-night hours, and a weekly “Dog Bowl Thursday” where anyone willing to drink from a branded dog bowl gets a free beer.

As reported by 98.5 KYGO, the bar will offer a menu centered around burgers, smoked wings, and tacos, with most items priced around $10. Plans include staying open until midnight Sunday through Wednesday and until 2 a.m. later in the week. Inside, guests can expect pool, darts, arcade games, and a jukebox.
Westword reports the owners — Chase Phillips, Steven Sen, and Michael Alvarado — are aiming for a neighborhood dive vibe, hosting pet adoption events and donating a portion of profits to local animal shelters. The concept was inspired by their own dogs and even shows up in drink names.
