Denver’s Massive New Wayfair Store Is One Step Closer to Reality
Online furniture giant Wayfair is officially expanding into Colorado with plans to open a massive new retail location in Denver. The company announced it will launch a 140,000-square-foot brick-and-mortar store at The Shops at Northfield in late 2026, taking over the former Macy’s space at 8298 E. Northfield Blvd.

The new two-story store will become Wayfair’s first physical location in the Mountain West and is expected to offer a full in-person shopping experience for customers who want to see and test products before buying. The store will feature 19 departments packed with furniture, home décor, mattresses, appliances, lighting, rugs, housewares, and other home essentials. A dedicated design center will also allow shoppers to work directly with professionals on room layouts, decorating ideas, and custom home projects.

Wayfair says the Denver-area location is part of the company’s larger expansion into physical retail after seeing strong results from its first large-format store in Wilmette, Illinois. Additional stores are also planned for Atlanta and New York as the company continues blending its online shopping experience with traditional retail locations.
The Shops at Northfield has continued evolving in recent years, and the addition of Wayfair is expected to bring a major new anchor tenant and increased foot traffic to the shopping center when the doors officially open in 2026.
