Denver is sending social workers instead of cops to some 911 calls

Denver just launched a program known as the Support Team Assisted Response (STAR). It involves dispatching a Denver Health paramedic and a social worker to minor 911 calls in a low-key van — instead of an armed cop. Check out the video below.
