Colorado ranks No. 3 as the least obese state in the nation; now, one of its suburbs steals the tenth slot as one of the safest suburbs in the U.S.
According to a poll by SmartAsset, its rankings were calculated by” space, affordability, schools, employment and sometimes to seek safety. Violent and nonviolent crime rates, roadway safety, and drug and alcohol abuse within a community can affect the quality of life for an individual and family alike.”
With Castle Rock rounding out the No. 10 slot, Great Falls, VA, snags the No.1 spot. Here’s the complete list:

“Denver’s southern neighbor does rank among the 35 most affordable safe suburbs on SmartAsset’s list, with 20.69% of income going to housing costs. However, that’s based on a median income for the area of $121,388, which is the ninth-highest among the safest suburbs,” says KDVR.
