Everybody is eating the same basics every year for the Circus of Thanksgiving.  You have the Ringleader of the whole thing with the Turkey, but it’s really the sides that steal the show on Thursday. We all have that one thing we look forward to more than anything else.  Maybe it’s the Stove Top that your Aunt passes off as her own, or your Grandma’s Sweet Potatoes, we all have a favorite.  The People over at Google have harvested the data, and Nationwide, overwhelmingly, the most popular dish at Thanksgiving is Stuffing and/or dressing.  What’s the Difference?  Stuffing, actually has to be made inside the bird.  Dressing on the other hand can be made anywhere else, So Stove Top that you make on the stove top is technically Dressing.  At this point, the terms are fairly interchangeable.  As part of the Google Study, Colorado is a “Stuffing” State, as are 85% of the states.

Once you get past the Bread in a bird’s butt part of thanksgiving.  The Data gets a bit more diverse across America.  The results of another poll did not come to the same conclusion as google.  This Poll had more diverse stats, and unbelievably, only a couple of East Coast states chose Stuffing as their favorite.  On this poll, Coloradoans said that Mashed Potatoes were their favorite.   Our Northern Neighbors, Wyoming went for a good old Baked Potato, and New Mexican’s prefer…  Side Salads?  In the immortal words of Bart Simpson “You Don’t Win Friends with Salad” especially for Thanksgiving.  10 States chose Mashed Potatoes as their Fave, 7 States out there chose Green Bean casserole, 6 Chose Mac and Cheese, and 6 states chose Rolls.  Leave it to Iowa and Kansas to be weird and picking Corn.
