Active Denverites enjoy running around Sloan’s Lake, biking Cherry Creek Trail or climbing fourteeners. Denver is ranked fourth in terms of fitness according to the ACSM American Fitness Index.
Based on individual and community metrics, the study ranked the top 100 cities for fitness in the country. According to the report, approximately 82 percent of people in Mile High City engaged in physical activity in the past 30 days. The study found that nearly 70% of people sleep more than seven hours a day, exceeding aerobic activity guidelines.
