In 1980, KYGO started playing Country Music for the Front Range. In 2017, iHeartmedia decided they wanted to compete with the Country Powerhouse, and fired up The Bull. Now, in 2023, another contender has thrown their cowboy hat into the ring: Front Range Country, broadcasting on 103.1. Commercials describe Front Range Radio as Colorado’s Real Country. With a limited listen, all I’ve heard is a handful of songs that were big from the 90’s and early 2000’s, with the occasional 80’s monster. Basically a Classic Rock format, but for Country.
Up until Yesterday 103.1 was known as “the Comedy Station” or in my car “Preset Number 3”. 103.1 is run by Audicy, which also owns Alice, The Mountain, and KS107.5.
If you would like to follow or listen to Front Range Country online, you can do so through their facebook page.
