Prepare yourself for temperatures reaching into the mid-90s today through Wednesday.

As mother nature decided to grace us with her sun-shining presence, it’s only fitting we take full advantage of the sunshine with some outdoor activities. Visiting the zoo, botanical garden, Mount Evans, or the Rocky Mountain National Park are must-do activities when summer weather finally kicks in.

However, if you’re wanting to do more than taking a stroll, going for a jog, or finding the nearest park for a picnic, here are a three things to do this week to celebrate the heat.

Sunset Cinema: Willie Wonka & the Chocolate Factory
Tuesday, June 27, 6:30 p.m.
Galleria, Denver Performing Arts Complex

Mayor Hancock’s “Thank You, Denver” Concert
Wednesday, June 28, 7:15 p.m. (doors at 6:15)
Denver Botanic Gardens, 1007 York Street

Cherry Creek Arts Festival
Saturday, July 1, and Sunday, July 2, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.; Monday, July 3, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Second Avenue from Clayton Street to Adams Street and between Second and Third Avenues from Detroit Street to Adams Street, Cherry Creek North

For your weather pleasure, here’s the forecast for the week according to 9News:
