A snowstorm hit Colorado over the weekend and left some Front Range regions with more than 3 feet of snow. Some metro Denver cities recorded more than 2 feet of snowfall, according to the latest totals from the National Weather Service.
The agency issued a blizzard warning Sunday for Denver’s western metro area, Boulder and other Colorado cities. Winds gusted between 30 and 40 mph, weather officials said.
More than 27 inches fell at Denver International Airport (DIA) by early Monday, making the storm the fourth largest on record in Denver since 1881 and the second-largest snowstorm ever in the city during the month of March.
