The new Halloween movies and TV shows coming this year are a diverse mix of genres, from horror comedies to supernatural romances to traditional slasher films. This means that there is something for everyone to enjoy, whether you’re a seasoned horror fan or a casual viewer.

One of the most anticipated titles of the year is “Chucky,” which is a TV series based on the iconic red-headed horror villain that caused many Millennials nightmares in their childhoods.

As Halloween approaches, streaming platforms are rolling out a new crop of spooky movies and TV shows to get you in the spirit. Here are a few of the most anticipated titles:

Movies

  • A Really Haunted Loud House (Nickelodeon, Sept. 28): This animated movie follows the Loud family as they defend their home from a group of ghosts.
  • Make Me Scream (Prime Video, Oct. 1): This horror movie follows a group of friends who are stalked by a killer while filming a reality show.
  • Chucky (SYFY and USA Network, Oct. 12): This TV series follows the iconic horror villain Chucky as he terrorizes a new town.

  • Monster High 2 (Paramount+, Oct. 28): This animated movie follows the students of Monster High as they face off against a new monster.
  • Pet Sematary: Bloodlines (Paramount+, Oct. 31): This horror movie is a prequel to the 2019 film Pet Sematary.

TV Shows

  • Goosebumps (Disney+ and Hulu, Oct. 13): This TV series is based on the popular R.L. Stine book series.
  • Shining Vale Season 2 (Starz, Oct. 14): This horror comedy series follows a family who moves into a haunted house.
  • John Carpenter’s Suburban Screams (Peacock, Oct. 21): This anthology series is produced by horror master John Carpenter.

  • Living for the Dead (Hulu, Oct. 28): This reality series follows a group of gay ghost hunters.
  • Wolf Like Me Season 2 (Peacock, Oct. 29): This paranormal romance series follows a woman who falls in love with a man who turns into a werewolf.
  • American Horror Stories Season 2 (Hulu, Oct. 31): This anthology series is a spin-off of the hit horror series American Horror Story.
