TikToker Will (@charlestonboy843) went viral using the Walmart intercom twice to get assistance in the electronics department as he was trying to buy a laptop, but could not find an employee in the store.

“Locating Walmart employee hack,” is what he captioned the video.

Will recorded himself approaching the phone/intercom for the store. “Shit frustrating as hell man,” he says on camera. “Can’t never find any employees at Walmart.” He then asks for help in the technology department over the intercom, so that he could get assistance purchasing a computer.

The TikToker then shows the empty store and electronics department, referring to it as a “ghost town…not a single soul.” After not getting any help Will calls out for help a second time using the intercom.

“This is the electronic department,” he says into the phone, with his voice echoing over the speakers above him. “Can someone please come to the electronics department? I’d really appreciate it.”

When an employee finally arrived, they were not happy. Will wrote via overlay on the video that, “This man was pissed I used ‘HIS’ intercom. He told me I should’ve walked around until I found someone.”

The video now has over 2.7 million views.

Some TikTok users, who are also employees of Walmart, disagree with how Will approachedthe situation. The TikToker responded to the comments from his original video, writing that he had to do what he had to do. “Y’all’s opinions mean [shit] in the grand scheme of my life,” is how he captioned the follow-up.

What do you think of how he handled the situation?
