Bow Wow Beach Doggie Day: Water World Goes to the Dogs

If you’ve ever wished your pup could join in on the summer fun at Water World, now’s their chance. On Saturday, September 6, the iconic water park will trade slides for splashes with its annual Bow Wow Beach Doggie Day, powered by Mountain States Toyota. This special post-season event turns the park into a giant playground just for dogs, all while supporting the Riverdale Animal Shelter.

For $12.99 per dog (humans get in free), pups of all sizes can dive, paddle, and play in Thunder Bay, Cowabunga Beach, and Turtle Bay. Three sessions are available:

  • Session #1: 8:15 – 9:45 a.m.
  • Session #2: 10:00 – 11:30 a.m.
  • Session #3: 11:45 a.m. – 1:15 p.m.

Best of all, part of every ticket helps Riverdale Animal Shelter, which finds homes for more than 7,600 animals each year and provides low-cost vaccination and microchip clinics.

What else can you expect?

  • Booths from Riverdale Animal Shelter, the City of Federal Heights, and Oat Paws Ice Cream for Dogs ($1 from every Oat Paws purchase goes back to the shelter).
  • Plenty of complimentary tennis balls scattered throughout the park.
  • Each pup receives a free collapsible travel bowl, courtesy of Mountain States Toyota.
  • Hydration stations for dogs at all attractions.
  • Snacks and drinks (including adult beverages) for humans, though remember—humans aren’t allowed in the water.

Important details before you go:

  • Dogs must be 1 year or older and have a valid, signed vaccination waiver (provided with ticket purchase).
  • Pups must arrive and leave on a leash, and owners must carry one during the event.
  • Dogs must be accompanied by someone 18 years or older.
  • Owners are responsible for cleaning up after their pets (bags provided).
  • No coolers are permitted.

Bow Wow Beach Doggie Day is more than just a fun outing—it’s a chance to celebrate the Denver-area’s dog-loving community while helping pets in need. So grab your tickets starting Saturday, August 16 at 1:00 p.m., and get ready to watch your four-legged friend make a splash.
