DPD: Trio Armed With Handguns Sought in East 42nd Avenue Robbery
Denver police are searching for three men accused of committing an armed robbery on the city’s east side last week.
According to investigators, the robbery happened around 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 18, in the 3400 block of East 42nd Avenue in the Park Hill neighborhood. Police say two of the suspects were armed with handguns.
The first suspect is described as a Black man with a medium build wearing a black hoodie with white writing on the sleeve and reportedly holding a handgun in his right hand. The second suspect is described as a Black man with a heavy build wearing a black hoodie and carrying a camouflage backpack. The third suspect is also described as a Black man with a heavy build, wearing a gray Reebok sweatshirt and allegedly armed with a handgun.
Investigators believe the three may have been driving a Ford Explorer that could have had a handicapped placard hanging from the rearview mirror. Anyone with information is urged to contact Denver police or Metro Denver Crime Stoppers.
