Stellantis presented its strategy and plans leading to 2030, and it included a couple of surprise announcements about projects and products. Probably the most unexpected ended up being the reveal of Jeep’s very first all-electric SUV.

This vibrant yellow SUV has no name, but it appears to be a relatively small SUV, close to the size of a Compass.

Today, we revealed concept images of the first-ever 100% battery-electric Jeep® SUV. This vehicle is our next step to the achievement of our brand vision of Zero Emission Freedom and will be launched early next year. More information to come! pic.twitter.com/079TeB0gKM

The design is all Jeep. With heavy and wide finders and well-defined fender lines and of course that plastic outer layer covering the body. The back door has a hidden handle up in the C-pillar, and the taillights have an “X” motif just like the ones that are found on the Renegade.

There are currently no details on powertrain. But, autoblog.com estimates 37 to 82 kWh of capacity and as high as 300 miles of range. More details are expected within the year, with an estimated launch date as early as 2023. The details provided suggest that this is not the first all electric Jeep that we can expect. Stellantis announced that a more off-road focused model and a “lifestyle family SUV” will both launch in 2024 as part of the companies major EV push.
