Before local pools close for the season, several cities across the Denver metro area are hosting special dog swim events, giving pups one last chance to splash around. Here’s where you and your four-legged friend can dive in:

Paws for a Dip – Thornton
Thornton City Pool, 2141 E. 95th Ave. | Saturday, Aug. 16, 10 a.m.–2 p.m.
$5 entry for one dog and one human. Proof of vaccination required. -
Wag N’ Romp – Lone Tree
Cook Creek Pool, 8711 Lone Tree Pkwy. | Saturday, Sept. 6, 10 a.m.–2 p.m.
Includes pool time, vendor booths, and an agility course. -
Dog Daze at the Bay – Broomfield
The Bay Aquatic Park, 250 Spader Way | Sept. 6
Popular annual swim event for social pups and tennis ball lovers. -
Bow Wow Beach Doggie Day – Federal Heights
Water World, 8801 N. Pecos St. | Saturday, Sept. 6, sessions from 8:15 a.m.–1:15 p.m.
Benefits the Riverdale Animal Shelter. Tickets available starting Aug. 16. -
Doggie Splash and Pet Expo – Highlands Ranch
Westridge Recreation Center, 9650 Foothills Canyon Blvd. | Saturday, Sept. 6, multiple sessions from 8 a.m.–12 p.m.

Bonus Year-Round Swim Spot:
Union Reservoir, 461 County Road 26, Longmont – Features an off-leash dog area on the south side with direct lake access for swimming and running.
These events give dogs a safe space to cool off, socialize, and enjoy the last warm days before the pools close for the season.
