Michelin-Starred Chef Opens Minimalist Burger Spot in Denver

A Michelin-starred chef has introduced a unique dining experience in Denver’s Union Station neighborhood, offering a menu with just two items: a burger and fries.

A Collaboration of Culinary and Skateboarding Talent

NADC Burger is a collaboration between Michelin-starred chef Phillip Frankland Lee and professional skateboarder Neen Williams. The restaurant, which previously found success in Texas and Chicago, brings its laid-back vibe to Denver’s Larimer Square. Despite the simplicity of its menu, the quality of the offerings reflects its Michelin-starred pedigree.

Elevated Simplicity: The Menu

The menu may be minimal, but the ingredients are anything but. The burger features 100% full-blooded wagyu beef sourced from Texas’s RC Ranch. It’s topped with American cheese, a secret sauce, onions, pickles, and “slightly tamed” jalapeños, all complemented by spices from Neen Williams’ NADC spice company.

The fries are no afterthought either. Served golden and crispy, they can be transformed into “Beast Mode” by adding cheese, diced pickles, jalapeños, special sauce, and seasoning.

Location and Hours

NADC Burger opened on Friday at 1441 Larimer St., nestled next to John Fluevog Shoes Denver and Garage Sale Vintage. The shop is open daily from 11:30 a.m. to midnight, making it an ideal stop for lunch, dinner, or a late-night snack.

Expanding Michelin-Starred Concepts in Larimer Square

NADC Burger isn’t the only venture from the multi-Michelin-starred Scratch Restaurants Group in Larimer Square. Later this year, chef Phillip Frankland Lee and his wife, Margarita Kallas-Lee, will open Sushi by Scratch Restaurants, a 10-seat omakase-style restaurant. Set in the historic Joe Replin Building just a few doors down from NADC Burger, the new sushi spot will offer an intimate and elevated dining experience.

With its minimalist menu and high-quality ingredients, NADC Burger is redefining the casual dining scene in Denver, while the Scratch Restaurants Group continues to expand its culinary footprint in the city.
