Wayfair to Open First Colorado Retail Store at Former Macy’s in Northfield, Denver
Wayfair has announced that it will open a new large-format retail store in Denver in late 2026, taking over the former Macy’s location at The Shops at Northfield. The massive 140,000-square-foot space at 8298 E. Northfield Blvd. will be the online home retailer’s first physical presence in the Mountain West region.
The two-story store will offer a full-scale, immersive Wayfair experience with 19 departments ranging from furniture and housewares to appliances and décor. Customers can also access personalized design services and explore Wayfair Verified items, all handpicked by the company’s product experts. It’s part of Wayfair’s growing brick-and-mortar strategy, with other new stores announced in Atlanta, GA and Yonkers, NY.
“As we expand into new regions, we’re excited to deliver our unbeatable selection and fun, flexible shopping experience in person,” said Liza Lefkowski, vice president of merchandising and stores at Wayfair.
The store is part of a broader redevelopment of The Shops at Northfield, owned and managed by Stockdale Capital Partners. “This partnership with Wayfair is a major step in transforming Northfield into a pedestrian-focused, dynamic destination,” said Jeff Bhathal of Stockdale.
Wayfair’s first physical store opened in Wilmette, IL, and this latest expansion brings the company closer to serving customers in key markets nationwide.
