Fort Collins Police Seek Thief Who Stole Baby Jesus from Nativity Scene

Fort Collins police are searching for a suspect involved in the theft of a baby Jesus figurine from a nativity scene in Old Town Square.

The theft occurred early Sunday morning at 2:19 a.m., according to Fort Collins Police Services. The nativity scene, which was placed behind restraint fencing, was targeted by the suspect, who reportedly stole the 18-inch figurine of baby Jesus.

“This Grinch tried to ruin Christmas by stealing the Baby Jesus from the Old Town Square nativity scene,” Fort Collins Police shared on Facebook.

Suspect Details

Police released a photo of the suspect, who was seen accompanied by three other individuals at the time of the incident. However, descriptions of the others involved were not immediately available.

Public Assistance Needed

Fort Collins Police are asking for the public’s help to identify the suspect and recover the figurine. Anyone with information about the theft or who recognizes the person in the released image is urged to contact Officer Brittingham at 970-419-3273.

As the investigation continues, the community hopes to see the return of the figurine, restoring the cherished holiday display.
