If you are looking for a truly Halloween experience in one of your nights out, head to the newest bar to pop-up in Denver.

Black Lagoon is an immersive Halloween pop-up bar and it has opened inside of the Yacht Club in Denver this week.

The pop-up bar will be open from October 17th through Halloween. For those of you unsure of the date of Halloween, it is Monday October 31st.

The creators of the bar concept, Erin Hayes and Kelsey Ramage pay homage to the macabre with their goth and metal inspired décor. They say their biggest inspiration comes from goth culture and cult horror flicks.

Black Lagoon has that dark, crypt-like ambience complete with skulls, life-size coffins and other gothic elements sure to creep you out or make you feel at home.

Guests are persuaded to dress up in their finest Gothic or Halloween attire. For some of us, we may just have an entire wardrobe full of choice ensembles.

The drinks will be Halloween-themed and sure to delight all the dark lovers around. They will come in appropriate colors such as, blood-red, black and orange. Some of the clever names include Screaming Banshee, Lilith’s Cup, Closed Casket and Hellraiser. Also for those collector’s out there, some drinks have the option of purchasing custom glassware!

The creator’s Erin and Kelsey, in addition to celebrating spooky season, wanted to create a bar that would be goth friendly. Not all the swanky clubs in Denver do the gothic community feel comfortable in. But this one welcomes them with open arms.

The Yacht Club is located at 3701 N. Williams St. in north Denver.

In addition to stopping in the mile-high city, it is making stops in nine other cities across the U.S. and Canada including Portland, Los Angeles, Dallas/Fort Worth, New York, Chicago, Montreal, Toronto, Vancouver and Denver.

According to the creators, they chose each city carefully based on a “robust cocktail culture” and I am sure, the presence of Halloween loving, gothic adults of all ages.
