While mother nature figures out what it wants to give us, from either rain showers to heat waves, don’t let the weather rule your summer unless there’s a flood, then turn around and don’t drown. But if the weather is behaving, that’s all the more reason for you…not to.

From school being out for the summer, to some companies issuing “summer friends,” to you utilizing your days off, however you scored a free day, it shouldn’t be spend inside. Instead, they should be spent making memories, eating great food, and enjoying the company you keep.

This month, celebrate summer with friends, family, music, and good vibes at one of these four FREE festivals:

Five Points Jazz Festival

When: June 10
Location: Five Points

This annual festival pays homage to jazz music in the Five Points neighborhood. What’s known as the Harlem of the West, the Five Points was home to several jazz clubs where legends like Thelonious Monk and even Miles Davis (to name a few) played.

Cherry Blossom Festival:

When June 17-18
Location: Sakura Square

This annual event celebrates the Japanese heritage and culture through live entertainment, food, and drink, a marketplace, exhibits, and demonstrations.

Highlands Street Fair

When: June 24
Location: Highland Square

From live music, food, shopping, and entertainment, the Highlands Street Fair supports the community and highlights local businesses and eateries.

Denver PrideFest

When: June 24-25
Location: Civic Center Park

June is PRIDE MONTH! And what better way to celebrate than taking part in PrideFest? All love is welcome whether you’re a part of the alphabet mafia or an ally. This two-day festival starts its opening weekend with a Pride 5K followed by a march, over 250 exhibitors, 30 different food and beverage vendors, music, and so much more.
