20-Year-Old Kevin Bui Sentenced to 60 Years for Fatal Arson in Denver’s Green Valley Ranch

Kevin Bui, now 20, has been sentenced to 60 years in prison for a devastating arson attack in Denver’s Green Valley Ranch that claimed five lives in August 2020. Bui admitted guilt to two counts of second-degree murder earlier this year. Denver District Attorney Beth McCann described him as the leader in this senseless and tragic crime.

Bui, along with Gavin Seymour and Dillon Siebert, set the fatal fire believing someone had stolen from Bui at the targeted house. Security footage captured the three masked individuals on the night of the incident. Investigators revealed that an accelerant was used to spread the fire more rapidly, leading to the deaths of five victims from Senegal. Bui’s lengthy sentence reflects the severe impact and the sorrow inflicted upon the victims’ families.
