A community vigil was held on Sunday to honor the lives of Lorraine Quintana and Adan Pacheco, both 20, who were tragically killed in a Halloween night shooting at a Northglenn house party near Belford Drive and Bruce Lane. The Northglenn police are actively investigating, though no arrests have been made.

Quintana, a devoted mother and aspiring beauty professional, and Pacheco, an army enlistee with dreams of becoming an electrician, were remembered by loved ones as kind, hard-working, and full of hope for their futures. “They were trying so hard to build the lives they wanted,” shared Quintana’s sister. Pacheco’s mother expressed deep grief, saying, “I never thought I’d lose my son like this; he was a good boy, kept away from the streets.”

Quintana and Pacheco leave behind a 1-year-old child, whom family members have vowed to support and cherish. “I feel like I’m the closest thing to a dad for her now,” said Juan, Pacheco’s twin brother, speaking about his commitment to his niece.

As the families mourn, they’re calling for an end to gun violence, sharing the pain and confusion of losing loved ones so suddenly. “I don’t understand how someone can take a life so quickly,” said Tara Guvara, Quintana’s mother. The families are united in their grief and in their resolve to protect and care for the young child left behind.
