Nothing beats the unexpected humor of a live broadcast gone slightly off-script. A clip from three years ago featuring Denver 7’s Colorado weatherman, Ryan Marshall, has resurfaced, bringing endless chuckles as it quickly goes viral.

In the now-famous video, Marshall is reporting on winter conditions in Colorado’s high country after a major snowstorm—and he’s clearly not thrilled. The meteorologist, visibly annoyed, humorously reflects on his college education, joking about having spent over $100,000 only to end up standing in the freezing cold, waiting for his turn on live TV. “I never get sent out to cover sunny days,” he quips, emphasizing the irony of always being sent into the worst weather conditions.

One of the best moments? Marshall recalls his childhood love for I-Spy books and likens it to his current job of “spying” on snow, humorously suggesting that his career has come full circle since kindergarten. Originally uploaded to YouTube in November 2020, the clip has since racked up over 13 million views, proving that sometimes the best news stories are the ones where nothing goes quite as planned.
